Things to be observed by students before being admitted to study in any of the courses in any Institution. One of these which include meeting the required cut of mark for each schools as well as the courses itself. It is very easy to obtain admission if one has met the required cut off mark for the admission into a particular course.

Cut off mark is an agreed score set by a particular institution as a basic of admitting students into the department of study.

This score is usually accredited to candidates based on their performance in a particular examination. However, students who have scored above the required cut off mark will be given admission and preferentially treated in admission process above those who have met the exacts cut off mark.

JAMB Fixed Cut-off Mark

Jamb fixed cut off mark for KSU is 160.

Mostly any Candidates with higher scores are first considered in admission basics candidates with lower scores though might meet the cut off mark of 160 may likely not be admitted. In fact, it is the higher your scores, the higher the chance of being admitted.

Departmental Cut off Mark

Only candidates with UTME Score of 160 and above and with requisite minimum of Five (5) O’Level Credit Passes in the relevant subjects are eligible to attend KSU post UTME Screening Exercise.

  • Candidates who did not meet up with the requirements of the courses they applied for are advised to effect change of course on www.jamb.org.ng as appropriate. (JAMB course combination for every course must be put into consideration)
  • Candidates are strongly advised to upload their O’level results on JAMB portal
  • Candidates are to note that a date for the sales of KSU Post UTME Screening forms will be announced and published on kogistateuniversity.edu.ng with the mode of payment duly outlined.
  • In case of any enquiry/assistance where necessary, candidates are to send their emails to academic@ksu.edu.ng (Ensure to quote your JAMB Reg. No. in all mails)
  • Candidates must have valid phone numbers and E-mail address before starting the application procedure.


Please if your first choice institution is KSU and you did not make the above stated cut off mark, I will advise you to change your Institution to another school that you are qualified.
