Bolt is one of the fastest growing taxi companies in Europe and Africa with over 3M customers in more than 20 countries. The company was formerly known as Taxify, it develops and operates the Bolt mobile application, which allows people to request a taxi or private driver from their smartphone, as well as electric scooters. Taxify was founded in Estonia in 2013 as a platform to connect riders to private drivers or licensed taxis.

As of February 2019, Bolt operates in 30 countries and 50 cities in Europe, Africa, West Asia, North America, and Australia. The company has 25 million customers globally and more than 500,000 drivers use the platform to offer rides.

How To Register With Bolt

Bolt Online Registration

To register and become a Bolt driver, here are the steps you should take for a successful registration;

1. Sign Up

  • Go to the signup page , submit your email, phone number and select your city. Proceed to the next page.

2. Filling Of Forms

Fill in the page with your first name, last name and select your card details. If your car is not listed, please notify us the platform by mailing to sydney@bolt.eu.

  • The ticket box after referral box confirms that you have a vehicle less than 10 years old and it isn’t a taxi, government or rebranded vehicle.
  • Click Next from the page above
  • The next page will load, fill in this page your date of birth in the format shown. You will also need to provide your driver license number, which can be found on your driver license.

 

Note:– All ride-share drivers in NSW must hold a full, unrestricted license for over 12 months in the preceding 2 years

If you have come from another state and held a full license there for over a year, please send your driving record plus images of the front and back of your license from your previous state to sydney@bolt.eu.

  • You’ll be required to upload your details into the Point to Point Portal
  • Click Continue when you have filled your details to move to the next page.

 

4 3. Submission of Documents
You will be required to upload your documents which is about 6 different types to submit your application. A highlight of each document is listed below;

  • Valid Nigerian Drivers License
  • Driving Record
  • Valid AutoGenius Inspection Report
  • Vehicle Licence

  • Banking Information
    1. Fill in all your banking information
    2. For the ACN field, if you are not a business, simply fill it in with
      no –
    3. Drivers must be registered for ABN and GST by law. See Registering for ABN and GST.
    4. Click Finish to submit your application

  • Before you can commence driving, you will have to wait for your application to be reviewed and accepted, that will be when you’ve gotten a feedback from Bolt.
    Nonetheless, Drivers eith Bolt must fulfil certain requirements to be considered for driving on the platform. To become a driver, rewiew the steps below:

    Step 1: Getting Registered

    • Visit the driver sign up page to register
    • If you have three or more vehicles, you can register as a fleet owner.

    Step 2: Attend Training Sessions

    • Take note, you will receive an invitation to attend an onboarding session once you have completed your registration and your documents have been verified.

    Step 3: Accreditation Of Vehicle

    • Get your vehicle inspected at your nearest AutoGenius facility
    • Purchase your Drivers Shield Cover

    Step 4: Get Activated
    You’re done! Visit Bolt for an onboarding session Monday to Friday within 09:00 am and 03:00 pm.

    How Much Does Bolt Pay?

    Bolt payings is very attractive. An average Bolt driver in Nigeria earn around N200,000 each month.
    If you are eligible to receive a payout, Bolt will send the funds out during the first half of the week. Depending on your bank’s processing time, the payment should take between 1-2 business days to reflect in your account.
