These are the courses offered in the College presently and students are admitted through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board into NCE programmes of the College while others through promotion from PRE-NCE.

College Academic Programs

  1. Nigeria Certificate in Education (N.C.E.)
  2. Part-Time Nigeria Certificate in Education (N.C.E.)
  3. Pre-NCE
  4. Regular Degree (B.Ed) in Affiliation with University of Maiduguri
  5. Diploma in Computer Science
  6. Certificate in Computer Science
  7. P.D.E (Professional Diploma in Education)
  8. Diploma in the Teaching of Arabic and Islamic Studies

Entry Requirement

The entry requirement is five (5) credit at the maximum of 2 sittings including English and Mathematics and credit in relevant couse subject combination.

In exceptional cases candidate are offered admission into NCE with minimum of three credits and two passes in line with the NCCE Minumum Standard. In the case of Pre-NCE, candidates are admitted into the programme with the minimum of four (4) pases and promoted into NCE I having scored 1.5 CGPA and JAMB minimum score.

HOW TO APPLY (Step by Step)

  1. Purchase of JAMB forms
  2. Writing of JAMB Examination
  3. Passed JAMB at the minimum cut-off mark i.e 150
  4. Admission of candidates shortlisted by JAMN as contained in its print out in batches
  5. Whereas candidates who passed through Pre-NCE and obtained a minimum of CGPA of 1.5 are also promoted into NCE I
  6. Issuance of admission letters to the successful candidates.
  7. Screening of the candidates by their respective departments and clearance before registration.
  8. Payment of Registration fees
  9. Departmental registration and issuance of ID number to students

NCE Programme

The NCE programme is the primary mandate of the College. The NCE programme admits students for a minimum of three years and maximum of five years. The programme has two semesters in a session. Each year an average of three thousand five hundred (3500) candidates are admitted while at the end of registration an average of two thousand two hundred students are registered. The total number of student population in the College from NCE I-II is approximately Five Thousand Six Hundred (5600). After completion of the NCE III programme the College issues statement of result to the successful students. Certificates are also issued to the students after two (2) years of completion of their NCE programme.
