    The eligible independent visa (subclass 189)

    This visa gives applicants from all over the world the right to reside and work in Australia. It is a kind of permanent residence job. Proof of assignment by an Australian employer, state/territory government or parent is not required if applying for this program.

    Some eligibility criteria must be met if one is to apply for this visa:

    First of all, you must be very proficient in English and have a good knowledge of the language.

    The eligible specific visa (subclass 190)

    If a person wishes to apply under this visa, they must be nominated by the Australian employer, state/territory government, or close relative. It is also a permanent residence visa. Eligibility is the same as for an eligible independent visa. (Class 189).


    The designated eligible or guaranteed (temporary) visa (subclass 489)

    The eligibility and application process for this visa is very similar to the eligible independent visa (subclass 189). It is also a permanent residence visa, which allows you to work professionally and live in a specific arrangement in Australia.
